Following this week’s earlier announcement of a Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship match being added to the lineup for WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, it appears SmackDown’s midcard division didn’t want to be left out, and a United States title match has also been added to the card.
The news was casually broken by Wade Barrett as the Monday Night RAW commentary team gave a rundown of the card. LA Knight will be defending his United States Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura.
For those who missed Friday Night SmackDown two weeks ago, Nakamura made his on-screen return after only wrestling on house shows since April 22, 2024. He went after Knight and made enough of an impression that he’s already in contention for the U.S. title.

This brings the current lineup for WWE Survivor Series 2024 to the following scheduled card:
- World Heavyweight Championship Match: GUNTHER (c) vs. Damian Priest
- Men’s WarGames Match: Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn & CM Punk vs. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tonga Loa, Tama Tonga, & Bronson Reed
- Women’s WarGames Match: Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill (to be replaced by Bayley), Iyo Sky & Naomi vs. Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton & Candice LeRae
- Triple Threat for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Ludwig Kaiser vs. Sheamus
- WWE United States Championship Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
