Next week’s episode of WWE NXT (August 20, 2024) is scheduled to settle some scores and establish some challengers for the next pay-per-view event, NXT No Mercy.
After all three WWE Superstars expressed their intentions to go after Ethan Page’s NXT World Championship, leading to a brawl between them, there will be a Triple Threat match to determine Page’s No. 1 contender. TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry will face Pete Dunne and Wes Lee for the right to challenge for the NXT Championship at No Mercy.

Roxanne Perez’s next challenger will also be determined in a multi-wrestler match, but with different parameters. As a result of last week’s discussion on women who haven’t had a title opportunity, Stevie Turner stole Robert Stone’s idea and pitched it to Ava, who selected six Superstars at random. These six women — Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey and Karmen Petrovic — will face off in an gauntlet elimination match with the winner getting her title shot also at No Mercy.

Of lesser importance, but still as a result of something that happened during the NXT Great American Bash barbecue, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will have a tag team bout against The Good Brothers of The O.C., Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
Lola Vice will also face Wendy Choo. Vice scored a pinfall over Tatum Paxley this week, and in the same segment, Choo attacked Kelani Jordan, who was ringside as a guest commentator for the match. Jordan and Vice appear to have formed a friendship, and pitied Paxley, who has been in a stalkerish back-and-forth with Choo in recent weeks.

Lastly, Ashante “Thee” Adonis challenged Dion Lennox to a match out of jealousy that Lennox has been effortlessly receiving more attention from the women of NXT backstage, while Adonis has been trying his hardest to hit on them, but failing.
