WWE Friday Night SmackDown heads to the Capital One Center in Washington, D.C. next week on August 23, 2024.
Currently announced for that episode will be a six-woman tag team match and two titles on the line.
Two weeks ago, Blair Davenport interfered in Bianca Belair’s and Jade Cargill’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match against The Unholy Union, helping Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn retain their titles through disqualification. Naomi came to help them out to even the score, setting up a singles match this week, which Davenport won by pinfall.
Following up on that, a trios match with Belair, Cargill and Naomi against Davenport and the tag team champions is set for next week.

Having beaten Andrade in a No. 1 contender’s match to earn a United States Championship title opportunity, due to interference from Carmelo Hayes (who defeated Andrade tonight), Santos Escobar will get his shot at LA Knight for the US title next week.

Last up, The Street Profits defeated #DIY in the main event of tonight’s SmackDown in a hotly contested No. 1 contender’s bout to earn themselves a shot at the tag titles. They will get their opportunity next week against the pairing of Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu, who returned (while sporting a boot) at the end of tonight’s show to help Tonga and Solo Sikoa beat down Roman Reigns.
