Liv Morgan made history at WWE Crown Jewel 2024 with her victory over Nia Jax to capture the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
As a refresher, this title (along with the men’s, yet to be determined as of this publication between Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER) will be contested every year between the current two world title-holders in Champion vs. Champion matches, similar to how WWE Survivor Series used to operate.
The Crown Jewel Championship title belt itself will stay at Saudi Arabia’s WWE Experience, but Morgan will be awarded a ring similar to a Super Bowl ring to carry around with her instead.
Morgan was able to score the pin here over Jax due to some heavy interference by multiple parties. At first, Tiffany Stratton teased a Money in the Bank cash-in attempt — though we’re not sure who she would have tried to target, as she didn’t make her cash-in official. Raquel Rodriguez stepped in to stop Stratton at one point, thinking she would possibly go after Morgan. Dominik Mysterio also got involved, throwing the briefcase into the ring to get referee Daphanie LaShaunn distracted, allowing Morgan to eventually hit ObLIVion for the win.
