According to a report from Deadline, WWE Superstar Liv Morgan has secured a role in the upcoming Neon Pictures film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.
The film will be directed by acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike, known for his provocative and genre-defying work. The cast also includes Shun Oguri (Godzilla vs. Kong) and Lily James (Baby Driver, Pam & Tommy).
The story follows Oguri’s character, a corrupt Metropolitan Police detective and compulsive gambler, who is drawn into a complex investigation when an enigmatic FBI agent (James) arrives in Tokyo to look into the disappearance of a politician’s daughter, played by Morgan. As the case unfolds, a sinister killer operating within the yakuza underworld appears to be tracking their every move.
Production is set to begin in Japan within the next week.
Neon previously distributed Anora, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
