Despite previously mentioned logistical issues raised by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque regarding a potential WrestleMania event in the United Kingdom, London’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, remains committed to bringing WWE’s flagship pay-per-view event to the city.
A recent publication on the London Government website reaffirmed Khan’s determination to make London the first international city to host WrestleMania.
This goal follows discussions between Khan and WWE executives Triple H and Nick Khan that took place last year, where the idea was explored.
The report also highlighted the considerable economic benefits that major sporting events bring to London, noting that events held in the city last year generated a significant £230 million increase in revenue.
