In a recent interview with Wrestling Observer Radio, Marc Mero was asked about his relationship with Sable, which would end with her cheating. He said,
“When you have trust with someone that’s undeniable, and you feel like you have this amazing marriage that’s going to last forever… well, we had our ups and downs like all marriages do, but there was never any infidelity—nothing like that.
“Then I heard the answering machine and realized there was obviously another man in her life—it broke my heart. I knew it would destroy the family we had, and it was heartbreaking. I can say it just like that.”
Mero and Sable had been married for ten years before splitting up. Marc recently shared that he no longer speaks to his ex-wife.
During the interview, Mero recalled Sable returning to WWE in 2003 and advising her against going back due to her bad history with the company.
Sable would return to the promotion in another blow to Marc and would appear on TV as the mistress of Mr. McMahon.
Sable is today married to Brock Lesnar, who has been absent from WWE programming due to his connection to Janel Grant’s sexual assault lawsuit.
