Mark Henry is urging wrestlers to slow down and avoid rushing through high-risk spots, referencing the recent table bump involving CM Punk, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker at WWE Night of Champions. During Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship match against John Cena, Reed and Breakker slammed him through a table at ringside — a moment Henry believes could have gone wrong.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Henry said, “My message to those guys: When you’re in the ring, or outside, or wherever — there’s never a rush, not to the point where you do something that could get someone hurt. Punk really could’ve gotten hurt when they put him through that table. Take your time!”
The match ended with Cena retaining the title after Seth Rollins interfered, hitting Punk with the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Goldberg’s upcoming World Heavyweight Title match against GUNTHER has sparked backlash from fans, and Bully Ray recently weighed in on the situation.
Speaking with Dave LaGreca on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully discussed the matchup, which is scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event, and offered insight into why WWE may have decided to book it. He said,
“I don’t understand how you’re not understanding why they would do it. Bill still has a name. Bill still looks great. They are not concerned about the match. That’s why they are putting him in there with Gunther. They understand that a lot of — Bill’s last five outings haven’t been, you know, five-star bangers. That’s not the point.”
He continued, “The whole thing with Bill is the spectacle. The entrance. The show. What happens from bell to bell, they would do their absolute damnedest to keep the spotlight on what Bill does well, and what Gunther can get out of him.”
