Matt Riddle spent years competing under Vince McMahon as a WWE Superstar, and the former U.S. Champion is open to doing that once again.
Earlier this year, rumors sprouted that McMahon intends to launch a new wrestling promotion once his legal dispute with Janel Grant has ended.
Conrad Thompson shared that he’d heard that McMahon had met with camera operators experienced in filming pro wrestling events.
On a recent edition of the “Going Ringside” podcast, Riddle discussed the potential of working for McMahon once more. He said,
“Through the grapevine, I’ve heard Vince might have another company… I’m interested in anybody, bro. I’m an independent contractor. Unlike when I was under contract with WWE, I can actually work anywhere and wherever I want, when I want, for how much money I want.”
Riddle was released from WWE in September 2023 as part of the first wave of talent cuts following the launch of TKO Group.
While these releases were explained as due to budget cuts, Riddle had a series of controversies leading up to his departure.
