More On Whether Ronda Rousey’s Allegations Lead To Drew Gulak’s WWE Release

As we previously reported here on eWn, WWE recently released several NXT talents, including Drew Gulak and Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson.

Gulak remains under WWE contract, although the company has chosen not to extend it.

This decision was made in the wake of accusations from former WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey, who claimed that Gulak had tampered with her attire backstage.

Despite an inconclusive investigation, it was reported that Gulak’s public statement did not work in his favor. Additional reports suggested that Gulak had a history of bullying backstage, leading to reprimands from Shawn Michaels and NXT coaches.

Earlier reports stated that the Rousey incident was not why Gulak departed from WWE.

However, according to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the incident with Rousey was related. Although the investigation was inconclusive, it opened the door for other stories about Gulak, and as a result, WWE decided not to renew his contract.

It is important to note that the decision was not solely based on the Rousey incident but rather a culmination of other issues that came to light. WWE decided to let Gulak’s contract expire as they deemed him expendable.
