Dominik Mysterio captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 (Night Two), securing the win at the expense of his Judgment Day ally, Finn Bálor.
Mysterio triumphed in a fatal four-way match against Bálor, Bron Breakker, and PENTA to claim the title. Tensions boiled over when Mysterio turned on Bálor mid-match, attacking his stablemate and later hitting a frog splash on him to interrupt a pin attempt on Breakker. That moment allowed Mysterio to steal the victory and walk away with the championship.
This victory marks Mysterio’s first run with the Intercontinental Title and his first singles championship on the main roster. He previously held the NXT North American Championship twice.
Breakker’s reign ends at 181 days, which began after he defeated Jey Uso on the October 12th episode of RAW.
