AEW has established itself as a strong alternative to WWE in the wrestling industry, providing wrestlers with more opportunities.

Since its launch, AEW has signed several free agents who were in talks with WWE. Some WWE talents have joined AEW, while others have transitioned back to WWE.

WWE has recently signed various former AEW talents, including Ethan Page, Jade Cargill, Ricky Starks, PENTA, and Rey Fenix.

During a recent appearance on the “Bill Simmons Podcast,” WWE President Nick Khan discussed the challenges of managing a large roster with limited TV time.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On AEW and Shahid Khan: “In terms of the other wrestling promotional company, they have a lot of talented wrestlers and we’re happy about that. When, contractually, they are available to talk to and have conversations with, assume a number of them will come over. Nothing but respect to the father who finances it and owns the Jaguars and all those other things.”

On AEW’s bloated roster and TV time scarcity: “That’s something we won’t do. We won’t sign and bench people. We sign people who we want to use. If another entity signs and benches people now, that’s not something we would do. Not us.”
