During WWE’s presentation at Netflix headquarters on Tuesday, WWE President Nick Khan mentioned that WWE intends to keep its content the same when RAW transitions to Netflix starting January 6. He emphasized that the programming will remain family-friendly.

Khan said,We’re not changing the rating of our programming. There’s some online chatter about, oh, it’s gonna’ be R rated, or for us old folks, like X rated. That’s definitely not happening. So it’s family friendly, multi-generational, advertiser friendly programming. It’s gonna stay that way. I would look for more global flare, especially as the relationship [with Netflix] continues to develop.”

Regarding what audiences can expect from the switch to Netflix, Khan indicated that there will be more emphasis on a “global flare” as the partnership with Netflix evolves. This implies a stronger focus on WWE’s international audience and an increase in shows produced overseas.

Khan said, “I would look for more global flare, especially as the relationship continues to develop. The countries that are outside the United States are as important to us as the United States are. We have certain targeted countries that are priorities for Netflix, that are priorities for us; you can see more of that. I think that’s a way you’ll see a bit of a difference.”

Earlier in the presentation, Khan highlighted that WWE’s recent series of pay-per-view events held in international markets was a strategy to establish a presence for their global audience and tap into Netflix’s vast subscriber base of hundreds of millions. The WWE President noted that fans are “going to see more of that of that in 2025.”

Khan also declared that WWE is planning a series of RAW and SmackDown events in international locations.
