Nikki Bella is thrilled about the return of WWE Evolution and eager to see which matchups will unfold. The second edition of the all-women’s pay-per-view event is set for July 13th in Atlanta. Having recently made her WWE comeback earlier this month, Bella shared her enthusiasm and love for the event’s concept in a new interview with Sports Illustrated. She said,
“What makes Evolution extra special, it’s that word ‘evolution’ of where the women have come from in the past to now. To look at that road that has been so long. This is what I love about it and what I look at it as a fan is to have those surprises of women from the past, who are they going to take on from the present? Is there someone in the future, is there someone at NXT going to come and call someone out on Monday Night Raw?”
She continued, “There’s so many different ways to do this. That’s what makes it so much fun as a fan is not only are we going to get more women’s wrestling, and we deserve it — and I mean as a fan we deserve it because the women are crushing it — but then it’s to see the women of the past be with the women of the present and the future.”
Former WWE NXT Superstar Mara Sade (formerly known as Jakara Jackson) recently opened up about her WWE release during an interview with “Going Ringside.” Sade admitted that she initially felt frustrated upon learning the news last month. She said,
“I was [frustrated]. Now, I feel like my mindset is to move forward, to grow, and to evolve from that experience. So I’m more determined than anything.”
Looking ahead, Mara Sade is set for a major match at JCW Born (Almost) on the Fourth of July on Sunday, July 6. She’ll challenge Masha Slamovich for the JCW World Championship at The House of Independents in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
