Shayna Baszler, Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance were all recently released from WWE.
Dakota Kai has already drawn significant interest from outside wrestling promotions and top industry agents, with expectations that she’ll receive numerous offers.
Shayna Baszler — who had recently been helping out at NXT and re-signed with WWE last year — was among those let go. This surprised many.
As far as Gigi Dolin, Cora Jade, Gallus, Jakara Jackson, Eddy Thorpe, Javier Bernal, Oro Mensah, Riley Osborne, and Dani Palmer are concerned, Fightful Select is reporting that they’ll be under a 30-day non-compete period during which they’ll continue to receive pay as they explore their next steps.
There was internal awareness of Jakara Jackson’s release, which was hinted at when she was separated from Lash Legend.
Sources within MLW indicated potential interest in signing some of the released female talent.
And finally, just to clarify – NXT talent are bound by a 30-day non-compete clause, while main roster talent are subject to a 90-day clause. Shotzi’s contract is expected to expire in July.
