Multiple changes were made to this week’s AEW Dynamite as a result of Hurricane Ian.
The hurricane is currently sweeping across Florida, where many wrestlers reside, with Tony Khan informing talent they did not need to attend Dynamite as their safety came first.
According to Fightful Select, Swerve Strickland and ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe were scheduled to be on Wednesday’s show but were unable to make it.
It’s unclear how either man was going to be used, but Keith Lee, Strickland’s tag-team partner had a backstage segment with AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed.
The Acclaimed won the titles from Lee and Strickland during last week’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam event.
