WWE NXT World Champion Oba Femi won’t take kindly to The Rock stealing his spotlight again after the Final Boss appeared on this week’s episode of NXT.
Though the show saw Femi become NXT World Champion, the main event of the show went to a lengthy promo by the People’s Champion.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Femi was asked about The Rock stealing his time away from him. He said,
“The time was being stolen from me [and] I wasn’t even aware it was being stolen from me. Maybe if I knew, I would have gone up to him and been like, ‘Hey, Uncle Dwayne, what are you doing?’ I’ll let it slide this time. But the next time Uncle Dwayne comes in and steals time from me, there’s going to be problems.”
Femi won the title in a triple-threat match by beating former champion Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe. Femi earned the title match at NXT Deadline.
Femi is the 25th man to hold the NXT World Championship and the first from Nigeria. He previously held the NXT North American Title longer than anybody else.
