As we previously reported here on eWn, Oba Femi made his return to TV at WWE NXT Deadline to win the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge in the event’s opener.
Speaking after his victory, Femi discussed wanting the chance to compete for the NXT title and had a warning for Trick Williams. He said,
“Now I’ll be challenging for the NXT Championship, and boy I have been waiting for this opportunity… Trick, I am coming for you.”
Femi is the longest-reigning WWE NXT North American Champion, having held the title for 272 days before losing to Tony D’Angelo in October.
Williams retained the WWE NXT World Championship during the main event of NXT Deadline 2024, defeating Ridge Holland in the penultimate match of the night.
