At NXT Deadline 2024, Oba Femi capitalized on a last-minute opportunity when he replaced Eddy Thorpe in the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match.
Thorpe had been attacked backstage earlier in the week on NXT, paving the way for Femi’s unexpected entry.
Femi made an immediate impact as the fifth and final entrant, securing his first point quickly. He would go on to pin Wes Lee and Nathan Frazier simultaneously, earning two additional points and securing the victory as the time ran out. He’ll now face the winner of the Ridge Holland vs. Trick Williams match at New Year’s Evil.
