As we previously reported here on eWn, Jesse Ventura made his return on this week’s episode of WWE RAW.
While Ventura didn’t appear live on the show, a backstage segment was shown where the former Governor of Minnesota met up with WWE CCO Triple H.
Ventura became the Governor of Minnesota on January 8, 1999. He left office on January 6, 2003. Ventura (Green Party of Alaska, Unaffiliated) ran for election for President of the United States. Ventura (again – Green Party of Alaska) lost in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Taking to Twitter following the show, Ventura commented on his appearance. He wrote,
“Yes, it’s true. The Body is back home. Thank you @TripleH and the whole @WWE family. @CMPunk looks like hell froze over… again.
Why did I come back? For moments like these… @WWE @CMPunk”
Over the past few years, Ventura has accused Donald Trump of copying everything he did during his time in office.
In an interview in 2020, Ventura said, “Trump has no business being Commander-in-chief.” He also noted that while at one point the two were good friends, that has since changed and he views Trump as the “con man President.”
For context, you can check out a video of that interview below:
