During Sunday night’s NXT: Heatwave 2024 pay-per-view event, WWE announced that NXT: The Great American Bash 2024 will be aired on Tuesday, August 6, on Syfy.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the decision to air the Great American Bash on Syfy was made in light of the Olympics.
It was also pointed out that WWE relocated Monday Night RAW to Syfy during the Winter Olympics. This decision is part of WWE’s efforts to tackle declining viewership numbers by presenting a significant event.
Meltzer said, “Yeah because of the Olympics. I would think that RAW would move too because for the last Olympics, the winter Olympics, RAW moved to Syfy. So they are trying to do a big show to alleviate the low numbers.”
It remains to be seen what WWE has planned for the Great American Bash special episode of NXT on August 6.
