Fans might not see Alexa Bliss in a WWE ring for a long time, if at all.
Bliss recently teased that her WWE return is nowhere near. She has been out of action since the 2023 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. In November of that same year, the former women’s champion gave birth to her daughter Hendrix.
As we previously reported here on eWn, there were plans for Bliss to return to WWE a few weeks ago during RAW in San Jose, CA. A storyline involving The Wyatt Sicks had been pitched as part of her return. However, creative was instructed to abandon all plans for Bliss due to an ongoing contract dispute between her and WWE.
This contract dispute stems from Bliss believing she deserves a new contract, while WWE insists she should honor the terms of her previous contract, which was active before her maternity leave began in January 2023.
As WWE and Bliss failed to reach an agreement by the pitched return date, The Wyatt Sicks were moved to SmackDown.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that “They were at least far enough apart that people are talking about not expecting a deal to be made.”
Bliss has not made any public comments regarding the contract dispute with WWE.
