WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia is reportedly seeking a divorce lawyer days after her husband Artem Chigvintsev was arrested at their home.
Chigvintsev called 911 on Thursday, August 29, stating that a medical emergency had occurred at the home he shares with Garcia.
Shortly after, Chigvintsev called 911 again to cancel the request for assistance. Police later arrived on the scene, arrested him, and charged him with felony domestic violence.
TMZ is reporting that Garcia, known to WWE fans as Nikki Bella, has been seeking a divorce lawyer since Friday, August 30, and intends to divorce Chigvintsev.
Chigvintsev is no longer staying at the family’s home, the report adds and is instead staying with a friend. Garcia and their son Matteo are at home.
Garcia has not been wearing her wedding ring in recent days, including during her appearance at Netflix’s recent competitive hot dog eating special.
Chigvintsev and Garcia met in 2017 on Dancing With The Stars. The pair married in 2020 and celebrated their anniversary days before the arrest.
