Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble victory may have come as a surprise to many, but this has been the plan for the ‘Main Event’ star for some time.
In a star-studded match featuring Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk, Uso won the 30-man contest by last eliminating John Cena.
According to “PW Nexus,” Uso was planned to win the men’s Royal Rumble match as early as the beginning of January, or possibly even back in December.
After his victory, Jey teased challenging World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41 this April in Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to John Cena, Jey eliminated U.S. Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and former Bloodline ally Sami Zayn to win the men’s Royal Rumble match.
