El Grande Americano’s days of wearing a mask are coming to an end as Rey Mysterio has vowed to unmask WWE’s newest luchador.
Speaking at the ‘WrestleMania After Dark’ event at the LIV Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, Mysterio made his promise to FOX News. He said,
“One thousand percent. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’m going to do everything I can to take that mask off who that El Grande Americano is.”
Despite Mysterio’s bold claim, an alleged injury suffered during the March 18th edition of WWE SmackDown has raised questions over his upcoming match.
Mysterio has won his last two WrestleMania matches, defeating Dominik at WrestleMania 39 and teaming with Andrade to beat Dominik and Santos Escobar last year.
El Grande Americano was also on SmackDown where he interfered in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal to eliminate Rey Fenix.
