The first match of the Netflix Era of WWE Monday Night RAW was a special Tribal Combat bout with Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa settling once and for all who was the rightful Tribal Chief and possessor of the ula fala.
As expected, The Original Tribal Chief found himself fighting against more than just Sikoa, as Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu interfered and beat him down, nearly winning the match right there for Sikoa. However, Reigns had some backup with Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso.
Surprisingly, Kevin Owens also interfered, hitting Reigns with a stunner, but that was also only a two-count. “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes then came out to take the fight to Owens, whom he’s been feuding with for several months and will face at the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in a ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The grand finale saw Sikoa intercept a Superman Punch, only to miss a Samoan Spike and get taken out by a spear. Reigns followed it up with a second spear and secured the win.
The OTC was presented with the ula fala after the match by Paul Heyman, but before he could be fully bestowed, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson came out (having earlier cut a promo) and did the honors himself, with an angry (or possibly just skeptical) Paul Heyman looking on at the two while standing on the ring apron. The Rock offered a handshake and a hug to Reigns, who reciprocated.
Between this and The Rock also hugging and touting Cody Rhodes earlier in the night, does that mean this Bloodline Civil War is over and we’re not getting The Rock against either Rhodes or Reigns any time soon, if at all?
