Despite recent online speculation, WWE NXT is not planning any upcoming television tapings at Philadelphia’s historic 2300 Arena.
The iconic venue — best known as the original home of ECW — was rumored to be in the running for an NXT taping, potentially to coincide with AEW’s planned residency in the city. However, those reports have now been debunked.
Pwinsider is reporting that venue management at the 2300 Arena confirmed that no WWE or NXT events are currently scheduled. Instead, the building is preparing for AEW’s Philadelphia debut and the return of Ring of Honor, both operating under the leadership of Tony Khan.
