Seth Rollins says he’s open to stepping into the MMA cage with CM Punk — if the opportunity ever came up. The two have had a tense relationship since Punk returned to WWE, and with Punk having previously competed in the UFC, the idea of a fight between them has sparked interest.
During an appearance on the “Outta Pocket” podcast, Rollins was asked if he’d consider an MMA bout with Punk. He said,
“In an MMA fight? Sure, yeah, I would. I’m not gonna storm his locker room and start throwing punches, but if Dana White wanted to set up a CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins fight — two non-UFC fighters on a UFC card — I’d be down. I’d strap on the gloves and give it a shot.”
He added, “It might be the only MMA fight I’d ever take. If you’re asking me to go in there against anyone else in my weight class, forget it — I’m out. But Dana, if you want to make money, let’s do it. Give us a few months and a training camp. I think I could hold my own. TKO owns everything now anyway, so why not?”
