WWE NXT Head Shawn Michaels is pumped for the gold brand’s premiere on The CW Network which will be in front of the “notorious” Chicago crowd.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Michaels discussed the move and what it means for the NXT roster. He said,
“It’s a big move for us. Moving to broadcast television is absolutely huge for us and the talent’s excited. They’re excited to go to Chicago and launch the show.
“It’s a fantastic atmosphere at the Allstate Arena so everyone’s jazzed about going.”
Michaels added that Chicago is known for having one of the “most notorious” audiences in the country, referring to the city’s vocal fanbase.
Tonight’s show will see the NXT and NXT Women’s Titles on the line, as well as a Street Fight between Wes Lee and TNA’s Zachary Wentz.
CM Punk will also be on the show in his hometown. He will serve as the guest referee for NXT Champion Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams.
