During a recent appearance on the “Masked Man Show” podcast, Sheamus shared his thoughts on the multi-year partnership deal between WWE and TNA Wrestling.
Sheamus expressed his desire to face his former WWE colleague Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) as part of the partnership.
He said, “Yeah, I loved working Ziggy (Nic Nemeth). Ziggy was great. I don’t think he he’s the fondest memories of working me, taking all those Brogue Kicks. I don’t think anyone took a finish as good as Ziggy. He’s great, dude. I knew him as well from FCW. Our history goes back all the way to 20 years ago. But definitely another person who put on a great performance all the time. Never the biggest, but when it came to storytelling, he was great. He was so much fun to work. Dolph is so easy. I think there’s a lot of opportunities now for some of that talent to come back over and create different stories, and it’d be fun, it’d be a good time.”
During a recent appearance on the “My Mom’s Basement” podcast, Sheamus recalled The Bar winning the RAW Tag Team Championships at WWE Roadblock 2016.
The Celtic Warrior revealed that the unique finish was all Claudio Castagnoli’s (Cesaro) idea.
He said, “That was Cesaro, that was 100% Claudio Castagnoli. That’s his mind. Still one of the greatest. I was like, ‘Man, you want my fat ass to jump onto Kofi?’ [laughs] But it was unbelievable. That was just Claudio, man. He was unbelievable to work with. He’s one of the reasons why, at that stage of my career, he just totally reinvigorated me, brought my passion back to where it should be. But yeah, that was unbelievable, man. The fake tag was an incredible finish, unbelievable. So creative. That’s Tony, though. That’s ‘Big Dick Tony.’ That’s what everyone calls him, by the way, in the locker room. ‘Big Dick Tony’ [laughs].”
