The feud between Lexis King and Dante Chen has reached a fever pitch as it was announced on the June 4, 2024 edition of NXT that next week, they will face off in a Singapore Cane match.
As fallout for King’s feud with Robert Stone and the now-released Von Wagner, Stone had set up Chen to fight King on May 15. Surprisingly, despite Chen having an overwhelmingly bad win-loss record, Chen was able to get a victory over King.
This didn’t sit well with King, who called it a fluke and wanted to make sure it didn’t happen again. Of course, in their rematch, Chen once more was victorious, which set King off to attack him after their match.
On this week’s episode, King was being interviewed by Kelly Kincaid when Chen interrupted and went on the attack, brawling with King until they were separated by officials.
It was then quickly announced several minutes later by Vic Joseph that next week, King and Chen will face off in a Singapore Cane match to settle the score.
