Despite being put through a table during the WWE Backlash 2025 press conference with an Attitude Adjustment, R-Truth remains confident that John Cena hasn’t fully gone down the path of the dark side, according to his interview with Wade Barrett that aired on Friday Night SmackDown.
R-Truth made excuses for Cena’s behavior, even saying that Cena won his match against Randy Orton all by himself (rather than giving credit to his own interference that stopped The Viper from punting Cena), and touted all the positives of Cena from over the years as a beacon of positivity and
“If I have to beat him back to his senses, then I'll do it”
