A number of independent wrestling talents were brought in as extras for the Backlash 2025 pay-per-view event. Fightful Select is reporting that Nixi XS, Mike Outlaw, Moses The Deliverer, and Skylar Sparks were all featured in cameo roles as medics. Campbell Meyer and referee Brandon Tolle were also seen backstage during the show.
The Local Competitor Twitter account identified indie wrestler Austin Mulitalo as the talent who took an RKO during the broadcast.
While rumors swirled about Jeff Cobb’s heavy travel schedule, sources confirm that he had been stateside since at least Thursday. Cobb made his WWE debut at Backlash 2025, capping off the surprise by addressing his recent social media “retirement” post — intended to mislead fans. After the show, he wrote the following on Twitter,
“Thank you guys. I’m happy to say I beat retirement and I made it from muscle beach to STL in the nick of time, yeah!!!”
