Alexa Bliss made her highly anticipated return to WWE during the 2025 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event by participating in the women’s Royal Rumble match.
Her deal came together swiftly, as her role in the match was originally planned for Shotzi.
Fightful Select has shared more details on the new contract Bliss signed before her return.
The report states that Bliss signed a new five-year deal with WWE, facilitated by her representatives at Paragon Talent Agency, Dean Muhtadi and Steve Kaye.
This contract was finalized on Saturday, and Bliss was flown in for the women’s Royal Rumble match later that day. The other Superstars in the match were unaware of her appearance until she showed up that day.
WWE had prepared merchandise for Bliss several weeks in advance while planning for her return.
According to sources, Bliss sought a new contract, while WWE preferred that she continue with her existing deal since they had compensated her during her hiatus.
Even if a new contract had not been reached (which it was), Bliss still had time remaining on her existing deal.
