Brock Lesnar last competed at WWE SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes.
Lesnar’s current status with WWE remains uncertain. WWE distanced itself from The Beast Incarnate following a sex trafficking lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against John Laurinaitis, Vince McMahon, and WWE, in which Lesnar was referenced.
WWE subsequently removed Lesnar from its plans for events such as the 2024 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber: France, and WrestleMania 40. It was later reported that WWE’s legal team had not cleared Lesnar, indicating that his return was contingent on resolving the legal issues.
Although Lesnar was not directly named in Grant’s lawsuit, The Wall Street Journal later reported that the decorated WWE/UFC athlete was the individual referenced in the lawsuit.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE has discussed a potential surprise appearance for Lesnar for the 2025 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
However, the current circumstances will prevent WWE from using Lesnar until those with decision-making authority and relevant legal entities change their stance. Once these conditions are met, Lesnar’s return will be imminent.
