Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes opened this week’s episode of WWE RAW by cutting a promo, which was interrupted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Triple H greeted fans to RAW on Monday night and congratulated Rhodes on his victory. He also played a video that demonstrated Cody’s career.
Once Triple H left, Rhodes spoke about his title win at WrestleMania 40 and put over Roman Reigns before The Rock hit the ring.
The Rock stated that Monday’s RAW edition after WrestleMania 40 exceeded the show’s attendance record and congratulated Rhodes on the landmark victory.
The Final Boss then asked if he could hold the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, the one he hasn’t ever held, and Rhodes agreed.
The Rock said he would be gone for a while but he would return for Rhodes’ title soon.
Cody stated that he was looking forward to the challenge. The Rock announced that while Rhodes’ story with Reigns is over, his story with The Great One has just begun.
The Rock then shook Cody’s hand and gave him something, telling Rhodes not to “break his heart” again before leaving.
