The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has shared an update on the traditional PPV buys for the WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 pay-per-view event, which took place in Saudi Arabia last Saturday.
As you may know, WWE primarily garners views from Peacock and the WWE Network internationally, with traditional PPV being more commonly utilized in rural areas or by customers without internet access.
The event garnered approximately 4,850 PPV buys, a 23.7% increase from the Backlash pay-per-view event earlier in the month but an 18.1% decrease from Elimination Chamber 2024.
11.3% of those who purchased the Jeddah show also bought AEW Double or Nothing 2024. In comparison, 42% bought Backlash, 2.4% purchased Canelo Alvarez vs. Jaime Munguia, and 1.8% bought TNA Rebellion 2024.
The Google search interest for WWE King & Queen of the Ring 2024 was lower than usual, failing to reach the top twenty searches. Typically, WWE shows receive around 200,000 searches, with Backlash previously garnering 100,000 searches.
The Jeddah event did not meet the threshold to make the top 20, as it only received around 20,000 searches.
