Alexa Bliss made her long-awaited return to WWE programming on the latest episode of SmackDown, over two months after her previous appearance.
In her return, Bliss teamed with Women’s United Zelina Vega to defeat Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, who had been ‘mourning’ Green’s title loss.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Rosa explained why Bliss’ surprising return angered her. She said,
“You really have to put them in a tag match with the champion, with a new champion? That really p***** me off. Cause they do that to women all the time. That’s not cool. She’s trying to get back in the game, and they’re like, “We’re gonna throw you with Zelina Vega, I think it’ll be a great idea.”
“Cool, yeah, it is TV time, I get it, but come on guys, stop doing this to the women’s division. Give the women the respect they deserve. We work really hard. We have to come back from a major changing life experience like being a mother, and then, ‘Yeah, we’re just gonna put you there,’ like, come on, bro.”
Bliss’ return has faced criticism for WWE reintroducing her with no fanfare. Her return also saw no teases of a connection to the Wyatt Sicks.
Bliss returned to action after two years as part of this year’s women’s Royal Rumble which was won by two-time winner Charlotte Flair.
