On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, WWE Superstar Ivar of The Viking Raiders discussed the formation of his tag team with Erik, and the origins of their team and individual ring names in WWE.
Ivar said, “So he [McMahon] didn’t care which one of us was which, so we get to talk to him and I looked at Ray (Erik) at the time and I’m like, ‘Ray, I can’t be my brother’s name going forward because my brother’s name is Erik. E-R-I-K, spelled exactly the same, please, please.’ He’s like, ‘Okay, yeah, you can be Ivar, I’ll be Erik.’”
In a recent interview with Witty Whittier, former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton shared insights into her strong connection with the fans. She said,
“You know, I, I’m honestly trying to figure that out as well. I just, I feel like when I go out there, I, I’m kind of just authentically me just kind of turned up a little bit and I feel like people, they notice that and they see that and like, I’m not playing an act almost. So I feel like that’s why people they can relate to me or, they buy whatever I’m putting down. They believe it. They think that that’s really who I am, and that’s because it is.”
