Triple H Knew He’d Get Backlash After Pulling Cody Rhodes From WrestleMania 40 Main Event

During a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast, Triple H commented on the backlash to Cody Rhodes being removed from the WrestleMania 40 main event and whether he anticipated it. He said,

“I’ll be honest … I did. It wasn’t one of those things where I was like so adamantly — I could see both sides.”

While the WWE CCO admitted that he didn’t want The Rock to get booed, it happened and it led to himself, The Rock and others getting together to come up with ideas for how to proceed.

As we reported earlier here on eWn, Motionless in White played Rhea Ripley to the ring for her match with Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 (Night One).

Taking to Twitter, Triple H posted a photo of himself backstage with the band. He captioned the photo with,

“Safe to say @MIWband has solidified their place in the @WWE family. What an awesome performance to help kick off tonight’s #WomensWorldTitle Match at #WrestleMania XL.”

And finally, Drew McIntyre took to Twitter prior to WrestleMania 40 (Night One) to fire off another shot at CM Punk. He wrote,

“So @UPS have lost my gear before #WrestleMania. As you’ve got no use for yours @CMPunk can I borrow some trunks?”
