Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson wound up leaving the National Wrestling Alliance after their run as NWA World Tag Team Champions came to an end.

During the latest edition of his “TullyVision” podcast, Blanchard revealed that he actually quit before they lost the titles in Philadelphia in September of 1988.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On quitting the night before they lost the titles: “We actually quit the night before in Houston. I did. I didn’t talk to Arn about it, I went off and I told Dusty [Rhodes], ‘You want the belts tonight or tomorrow night? I’m done.”

On the cause of their dispute with the NWA over money: “It was probably the fact that [Ted] Turner had just bought (Jim Crockett Promotions) and they were giving guaranteed contracts to people and they didn’t give Arn and I a contract with guaranteed money and that was like a slap in the face when they were giving big money to other people that we were making stars out of and that’s just me speaking from the heart.”

Kevin Owens says Cody Rhodes is the person who is obsessed with being a top guy in WWE.

While speaking on a recent edition of the “South Kongress Podcast” prior to their match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Owens reacted to Rhodes calling himself QB1.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Rhodes calling himself QB1: “Just what you said now is a great example. Who calls themselves QB1? Who gets the letters QB stitched on their own jacket? There’s nobody going around calling Cody Rhodes the Quarterback, he’s calling himself that. I just find that so insane.”

On Rhodes being obsessed with being a top WWE guy: “It’s television, it’s a show, but a few weeks ago, he was standing in the ring when I was on the announce table talking about how I’m obsessed with being a top guy this and that. It actually shocked me how little he knows me in that he thinks that’s what I’m concerned with. Again, I think he can turn all of those things that he said to himself. He’s the one that left in 2016 because he wasn’t happy, didn’t like the opportunities, didn’t like the way he was portrayed, all that stuff. He came back, he was always obsessed with being the top guy, being the quarterback, whatever you wanna call it. I’ve been there, I was there, obsessed. I realized it wasn’t very healthy and eventually my point of view changed. I don’t know, there’s just a limit to how much arrogance I can take, I guess.”
