Recently, Roxanne Perez and Giulia formed a tag team in WWE NXT and on RAW, though this partnership swiftly came to an end.
Not only did Giulia ditch Perez following an episode of RAW, but the pair of former champions have since been drafted to different shows.
Fightful Select is reporting that despite being on NXT and the main roster, WWE never had plans for the pair as a team.
“I [Sean Ross Sapp] had never heard of any—that doesn’t mean there weren’t any—but I never heard of [them]. Because like when I would ask about Roxanne, I was told, ‘Oh yeah, she’s supposed to be full-time on the main roster after January or the Rumble,’ and that didn’t happen that way. So no, they were probably just a week-to-week booking, and it’s an unfortunate thing that we are starting to witness.”
On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Perez beat Becky Lynch and Natalya in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
On this Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Giulia will battle Zelina Vega and Charlotte Flair for a spot in the June 7 ladder match.
