R-Truth announced earlier this week that he is dealing with cracked ribs and internal bruising after being assaulted by Bronson Reed on this week’s episode of WWE RAW.
Reed destroyed R-Truth with six Tsunami splashes after he defeated The Miz on Monday night.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Truth’s injuries are all kayfabe and part of the storyline. The veteran Superstar will be off of television to sell the injuries.
However, R-Truth’s case differs from Seth Rollins, who Reed attacked last week.
Rollins was legitimately hurt, and the attack was done to write him off of television.
In the case of R-Truth, the injury angle was used to put heat on Reed for his eventual match with Rollins.
