Vince McMahon relinquished his role as CEO and Chairman of WWE in 2022 following reports of hush-money allegations.

Although McMahon remained involved in and influenced the creative process, he departed the company in September after the WWE-UFC merger, when he assumed the role of Executive Chairman of TKO.

The 78-year-old billionaire ultimately resigned from TKO earlier this year following severe allegations made by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, accusing McMahon of sex trafficking, rape, and more.

Last month, McMahon filed a motion after Grant filed a discovery petition for records against Dr. Carlon Colker and his Peak Wellness, Inc. clinic, alleging that she was sent there at McMahon’s direction in November of 2019. She claimed to have received treatments that were not disclosed to her, including being given pills and I.V. infusions. McMahon’s motion to enforce the court-ordered stay in Grant’s lawsuit against him was denied last week.

Dr. Colker recently responded to Grant’s complaint by denying her allegations and calling them part of a “smear campaign.” He claimed that these allegations have significantly damaged his reputation, estimating the harm to be worth “tens of millions of dollars.” Dr. Colker requested access to documentation that he believes will refute Grant’s claims and also seeks to depose her.

In retaliation, Grant filed a motion in the Connecticut Superior Court to strike Dr. Colker’s complaint and dismiss his bill of discovery. Moreover, Grant is seeking statutory sanctions, costs, and attorneys’ fees against Dr. Colker and Peak Wellness. Her legal team argues that Dr. Colker’s actions attempt to intimidate her and violate her First Amendment rights, characterizing his complaint as lacking valid grounds and as an attempt to suppress her investigation into her medical care.

According to POST Wrestling, McMahon’s attorney, Jessica Rosenberg, stated that Grant originally filed a baseless lawsuit to damage his reputation. Although she agreed to pause the case at the government’s request, she allegedly harassed McMahon and his associates by initiating another unfounded legal action against Dr. Colker and discussing it with the media.

McMahon reportedly intends to use all available resources to stop Grant’s harmful and unjust pursuit.

The official statement reads, “Ms. Grant first brought frivolous litigation to publicly harm Mr. McMahon’s reputation. Then, despite agreeing to pause it at the Government’s request, she continued to publicly harass Mr. McMahon and those connected to him by initiating another frivolous action against Dr. Colker and talking to the media about it. Mr. McMahon will continue to use every tool at his disposal to end this malicious and meritless pursuit by Ms. Grant.”
