During a recent guest appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” former WWE writer Vince Russo discussed Vince McMahon’s practice of placing himself in segments with female talent, allowing him to grope or kiss them on screen.
Russo mentioned that the women were put in uncomfortable situations where they could not refuse participation with McMahon during broadcasts.
Russo also expressed his reluctance to write about female talents in such scenarios because they couldn’t decline the proposal.
He said, “As a writer, I could have never written any of our female characters in that position because they couldn’t have said ‘no.’ They would have had to say ‘yes’ because it was with Vince McMahon and they would have thought if they didn’t do this, they were going to be fired… He put all those females in a situation where they could not say no because they felt like their job was on the line.”
McMahon is currently facing a civil lawsuit from former WWE employee Janel Grant, who has made allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual trafficking. This lawsuit is on hold while a federal investigation into McMahon is ongoing.
