Hulk Hogan is delusional if he believes that his new wrestling promotion will one day stand toe-to-toe with WWE or the UFC, according to Vince Russo.
Hogan’s new promotion, ‘Real American Wrestling’ will host its first event later this year and Hogan boldly made his claim during a recent interview.
On a recent edition of his “Wrestling Outlaws” podcast, Russo made himself clear about Hogan’s high opinion of his own company. He said,
“Hogan said this is going to be bigger than the WWE and UFC. Come on. I’m watching Hogan on this thing and I’m like, bro, he did this same thing when he signed with TNA. He went on Larry King, he did the whole talk show circuit, and TNA was going to be this, that, and—man, bro.
“If there’s a way to do it, something is possible. But something so outlandish, delusional, crazy, and absurd? Like—just say, ‘We’re going to be something, we’re going to be on the level of…’ You cannot say bigger, man. Out of all the things Hulk Hogan said, that’s the craziest.”
Hogan has teased Donald Trump appearing at the promotion’s inaugural event, though there has been no confirmation of him actually showing up.
Hulk Hogan last appeared for WWE during RAW’s debut on Netflix where he was resoundingly booed by the live crowd.
