Rusev is back in WWE after five years away from the promotion, but what’s next for the former WWE United States and AEW TNT Champion?
On a recent edition of his “Legion of RAW” podcast, Russo discussed Rusev’s return and attack on Alpha Academy. He said,
“Bro, you know why they did it this way? We got two weeks of matches lined up. We got Otis lined up, and we’ve got Tozawa. Rusev is booked for the next two weeks, bro. Here we go. Write it in right now. We’ll probably get Tozawa week one, and then we’ll probably go to Otis week two. We got two weeks of Ws for Rusev.”
Rusev returned during the post-WrestleMania 41 episode of WWE RAW after being released from All Elite Wrestling earlier this year.
Rusev, as Miro, had been part of AEW since 2020 but had not been used at all for the final year of his career working for Tony Khan.
