As we reported earlier here on eWn, AJ Styles is doing okay after his match with Carmelo Hayes on Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown was stopped. The “injury” spot was scripted and will be used as part of the storyline.
WWE has now issued a storyline update on the Phenomenal One, with Jackie Redmond tweeting out the following:
“Coming out of Smackdown last night, I can confirm that AJ Styles suffered a “mid foot ligament sprain” also known as a Lisfranc injury. AJ will have an MRI later this week to determine the severity of the injury.”
