As we reported yesterday here on eWn, WWE had abandoned its trademark for “Edge” regarding wrestling appearances.
However, it appears that the company has reversed that decision.
WWE filed a revival notice for the trademark yesterday after it had been abandoned on April 22.
This occurred because the USPTO did not receive a response to an office action by the specified deadline.
WWE originally applied for the latest trademark in November.
As you know, Edge is the WWE ring name for AEW wrestler Adam ‘Cope’ Copeland.
The trademark is described as follows:
“Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered through broadcast media including television and via the Internet or commercial online services; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal.”
