According to a report from Wrestling Standard (formerly known as PWStream), WWE is preparing in case Daniel Bryan doesn’t re-sign with the company when his current contract expires in September. WWE is booking him in matches in storylines that were initially planned for later this year.
This includes his matches with AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy and his Team Hell No reunion with Kane. Also, it’s expected The Miz will interfere in Bryan and Kane’s Tag Team Title match against The Bludgeon Brothers at Extreme Rules, setting up a bout between them at SummerSlam.
Should Bryan re-sign, however, his feud with The Miz would turn into a multi-match rivalry. Bryan has also linked up with the same agency that represents John Cena, as he wants to land the best deal possible.
